Raising children the way the narrations describe

“The heart of the young is like empty land; it accepts whatever is sown in it.” — Nahj al-Balagha, Letter 31 (paraphrase)

The three stages of seven yearsPlay & love (K–1): Children learn through play, warmth and wonder. Habits of prayer and kindness are modelled, not drilled. The Book & discipline (Grades 2–7): Reading, memorisation, mastery of fundamentals and the discipline of daily practice. Companionship & responsibility (Grades 8–12): Students are treated as companions: real projects, leadership, service and advice rather than orders. The Thaqalayn

The school takes its name from the hadith of the two weighty things: the Book of God and the Prophet's family, the people of his house. Every part of the school, from the Qur'an house to the afternoon majlis recitation, is meant to keep children close to both.

All religious content is approved by a scholar board. Fiqh is taught according to each family's marja'.

إِنِّي تَارِكٌ فِيكُمُ الثَّقَلَيْنِ كِتَابَ اللهِ وَعِتْرَتِي أَهْلَ بَيْتِي

“I leave among you two weighty things: the Book of God and my family, the people of my house.”
